For those who have become too distracted shuddering at the photo of the Pitt bomb threat suspects, the 31st Street Studios has partnered with Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center and Knight Vision Studios, the company responsible for the computer-generated animation in Avatar. 31st Street also has a long-term arrangement with Paramount Studio Group’s Paramount On Location that offers production support services. Prior to announcing these agreements in late February, the Strip District studio had already had a hand in such monster productions as Unstoppable, The Next Three Days, and The Dark Knight Rises.
