A movie that we’ve been following since the middle, the ’80s throwback horror flick will make its debut in Pittsburgh on Sunday evening. It’s already been shown with great success at Conneaut Lake where it was filmed last spring.
With the exception of Canadian rock star Nivek Ogre (of the industrial band Skinny Puppy), the cast and crew are local. And, yes, we are counting British Hellraiser star Doug Bradley, who plays the conniving amusement park owner, as an honorary Pittsburgher. Writer/director Cary Hill, a Pitt alumnus, was able to see his vision come to fruition after multiple successful crowdsourcing campaigns enabled him to bring in big names as well as a talented crew that includes the minds behind Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera.
We’re not sure if there will be a red carpet, but the ’80s slasher blood on the screen should satisfy your need for crimson.
